the short version: we only collect what we need to sharpen your knives, send them back and keep our books. we don't sell your data. we don't use tracking tools.

what we collect – contact details: name, addresses, email, phone (optional) – order details: what you ordered and what you tell us about your knives (type, angle, wishes, comments) – payment details: payment method and confirmation. card data is processed by our payment providers – we never see your full card number. – communication: what you write us – technical data: ip address, browser and device information – collected by shopify to run the shop securely – photos of your knives: we photograph your knives when they arrive, to document their condition. the photos show your knives, not you.
why we use it – to process your order, ship your box and your knives, and bill extra work you've said yes to – to keep you posted about your order – to keep our books, as the law requires – to send you news – only if you've opted in. unsubscribe anytime. – to keep the shop secure and prevent fraud
who we share data with only what's needed to get your knives sharp and back: – Shopify – shop, checkout and payments (Canada, USA, EU) – Swiss Post – shipping your box and your knives (Switzerland) – bexio and helvy – accounting and invoices (Switzerland) – PayPal – only if you pay with PayPal – Infomaniak – email (Switzerland)
if you use shop pay, shopify also processes your data under its own privacy policy. we only transfer data abroad to countries with adequate data protection, or with standard contractual clauses in place.
cookies we don't use tracking or advertising cookies. shopify sets the cookies the shop needs to work – for your cart and checkout, for example. more: shopify.com/legal/cookies
how long we keep it as long as we need it for your order, and as long as the law requires (accounting records: 10 years). newsletter data until you unsubscribe.
your rights you can ask us what data we have about you, have it corrected or deleted (unless the law requires us to keep it), and withdraw your consent anytime. just write to hello@togu.care.
